Day 1: Ajaccio
You can go to Capo di Feno which is ideal for surfers. Meanwhile the Campo dell' Oro beach is perfect for families. If you visit the City, your can go to Palais Fesch Museum of Fine Arts and the Imperial Chapel, The National Museum, and San Roccu Cathedral. The 19th century neoclassical style cathedral is located on one of the main arteries of the city. With its recently renovated roof and bell tower, it is illuminated at night
Day 2: Sagone or Cargèse
The large, beautiful Sagone beach has supervised swimming, mooring for yachts and a small fishing port. The waters are calm and you can snorkel. There is a ranch where you can ride a horse or swim with horses!
The village of Cargèse is located on the Punta di Cargèse, a promontory that forms the northern limit of the Gulf of Sagone. The village sits nearly 100 m above the sea and has impressive views. The harbour is protected by a jetty running 200 m in a north-easterly direction and can accommodate 235 boats with a maximum length of 16 m.[74] There are 35 places allocated for visitors. The depth at the entrance is 5 m but this reduces to only 2.5 m within the harbour. Fuel, fresh water and mains power are available. There are three restaurants on the quayside but no shops. Provisions are available from a supermarket near the Place Saint-Jean 100 m above the port at the top of the village. In good weather vessels can anchor east of the harbour entrance in water with a minimum depth of 6 m.
Day 3: Gulf of Porto / Girolata
The gulf and surrounding coast is part of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica. In 1983 the gulf was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, n 1983 because of its beauty, excellent representation of Corsican shrubland, and avian and marine diversity The coastline of the Gulf of Porto is famous for its orange-red cliffs and headlands that reach up to 900 m high. The sheer cliff faces are interrupted by many grottoes and the gulf itself contains numerous sea stacks, islets, and coves. The Gulf offers many activities like swimming, snorkeling, family-friendly activities, culture and history visits.
Girolata is also part of the Regional Natural Park in Corsica. The beautiful scenery of Girolata with the small village on a peninsula surrounded by the sea and running up the high mountains in the famous red rock of the region, make for an unforgettable location.
There is a small beach in Girolata, and an ever-watchful Genoese tower that stands above the village. Below, a small natural harbour attracts smaller yachts that are exploring the coast. The village does have facilities for tourists including accommodation and restaurants - Girolata is transformed from a very quiet backwater for most of the village to a thriving tourist centre in the tourist months.
Day 4: Calvi
The port town of Calvi, in the Balagne region of north-west Corsica, boasts the intrigue of traditional Corsican culture while effortlessly maintaining the comforts of a modern resort. You will find picturesque views of the coast and there are many enjoyable places to spend time both in Calvi itself and the surrounding region. The beach has lifeguards and very good facilities, such as picnic areas and snack bars. Popular activities include windsurfing, waterskiing, jet skiing and paragliding.
Day 5: Golfe de La Revallata / Girolata
The Gulf of Revellata is located in the town of Calvi in Haute Corse. It is a privileged scooping site for water bombers. It is also an underwater sanctuary which is one of the most famous diving spots in Corsica. It is a conserved area that is blessed with natural beauty.
Day 6: Capo Rosso / Cala Di Palù / Sagone or Cargèse
Cape Rosso is a stunning place with turqoise waters. Located in Piana. It starts with a place made of red granitic rock, known as the Creek of Piana. A beautiful hike allows you to discover the coast of Capo Rosso up to the top of the Genoese tower which overlooks the Cape. The view is spectacular. You can hike, swim, sail, snorkel, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Cala Di Palú is a large bay just under Cape Rosso, which can offer good shelter for the night except in SW or W conditions. The site is wild and of great beauty. In particular, a rock detached from the shore forms a superb stone column.
Day 7: Bay of Sagone
The bay of Sagone (Cargese and Sagone Region) extends from Capo Di Feno in the south to Cargese, more to the north. In the Gulf of Sagone, you will find some of the most magnificent sandy beaches in this part of the island. In the Sagone region you can go to Tiuccia with its wonderful beaches, , part of the Gulf of Liscia, or Sagone, a small village known for its cove and its beaches, which will bring you to the third most important municipality of the gulf : Cargese.
Day 8: Ajaccio
Head back to base.
