Day 1: Tortola Base
This new multi-million dollar investment will not disappoint with all its modern features designed to be kind to our environment. From our award-winning base at Wickhams Cay II on Tortola you will be invited into one of the finest and most protected sailing areas in the world. Located in Road Town the base is ideally located to start exploring all of the surrounding islands, each with their own unique characteristics. Since opening in 2009, Wickhams Cay II has been recognized for its green initiatives and is continually working to provide you with a more eco-friendly vacation experience. With a swimming pool, hotel, shops, restaurants and more, there is no other charter base better equipped for the perfect sailing vacation.
Tortola is the most developed island in the British Virgin Islands and is a great place to begin your BVI yacht charter. Road Town, Tortola's capital, is a lively, bustling town that surrounds the harbour. It's the business capital of the island and a center for offshore finance as well as the hub for tourist and marine activity. The Main Street area is the center of the original Caribbean town and some of the older buildings still have the wooden frames and traditional red-tin roofs.
There is a great selection of shops should you need any last minute items beofre setting sail, or want to pick up another souvenir (or two) on the way home from your BVI yacht charter. The islands colorful cullture and surroundings are depicted beautifully in art galleries that house work by local artists. Bars and restaurants are plentiful in the area and offer something for everyone! Pusser's Pub with their famous rum is a visitor-favorite, and The Virgin Queen is a must for their authentic Caribbean food.

Day 2: Marina Cay
Enjoy the exhilarating trade winds and sail to Marina Cay for the flotilla welcome punch party. Shop at the Pusser's store and enjoy a cocktail at the tiny hilltop bar. Marina Cay is about as idyllic as the Caribbean gets. White sands? Check. Palm trees? Check. Crystal clear emerald green waters? Fabulous snorkeling? Check, check. The flower-covered, 8-acre island nestles in a sheltered lagoon surrounded on two sides by coral reefs. The shallow waters are always warm and calm, making Marina Cay perfect for families with young children. It's a great place to chill out for a day and get used to the no-stress pace of life in the British Virgin Islands.
Marina Cay has a very mellow feel to it, making it one of the most relaxing places to visit on a BVI yacht charter. Sunset Bar which sits at the highest point of this tiny island, provides incredible sunset views over Great Camanoe Island. As you sit back and enjoy the sunset, ask the locals to share the love story of Robb and Roddie White, former residents of this little island.
Pusser's Company Store is a good place to get in a bit of shopping, espcially for those partial to a bit of authentic Caribbean Rum. Pusser's award-winning restaurant, renowned for excellent seafood and local Caribbean cuisine, is certainly worth stopping at for lunch or dinner. Take your Marina Cay yacht charter to nearby Trellis Bay for windsurfing, sea kayaking and a good open-air market for artisan crafts.

Day 3: Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour
Spend an unforgettable morning at The Baths, home to a unique rock formation with myriad secret pools and caves. The Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor complex has great marina facilities and is located just a short walk from Spanish Town. The marina is close to Virgin Gorda's famous Baths, which is one of the highlights of a Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour yacht charter or flotilla. Majestic boulders appear scattered over the soft white sand and form grottos and warm rock pools that are perfect for exploring. The Baths are considered one of the best highlights of a vacation to the British Virgin Islands.
Mooring: The Yacht Harbor Marina has 120 berths available. Slips are free of charge for the first hour

Day 4: North Sound, Virgin Gorda
Spend the day in the plush surroundings of the Bitter End Yacht Club or at Saba Rock. Virgin Gorda's North Sound is the location of one of Tortola's most highly regarded resorts, Bitter End Yacht Club, which is only accessible by water. It's beautiful, remote and well-protected. Bitter End is situated on 75 acres of land with more than a mile of waterfront on the North East end of Virgin Gorda. This is truly the last (and luxurious) outpost before the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
North Sound is filled with beautiful coral reefs and endless beaches. Marine life is abundant and snorkeling sites are spectacular for their color and variety. Brilliant fish such as wrasses, grunts, damselfish and parrotfish abound, and the variety of colorful sponges and corals is umatched. Bitter End's major attraction is its lively and well-maintained waterfront with active marine and watersports facilities, restaurants, and shops. The setting is enhanced by lush, well-tended landscaping that features a wide variety of flowering ornamental shrubs, trees and other tropical plantings. The curved strand of waterfront includes three white sand beaches, deep, crystal-clear water, and abundant fish and bird life. Constant tradewinds provide a reliable and comfortable, humidity-free, naturally air conditioned climate. The Bitter End is certainly an ideal stop-over during your Sunsail sailing vacation.
Another location favored by many Sunsailors is the Fat Virgin Cafe, which is located in The Biras Creek Marina Village and is a good spot for a casual bite to eat. Pelicans like to hang out and forage in the mangroves that line the entry to the creek, and keep your eye out for sunbathing iguanas. Biras Creek is also home to a five-star resort that's worth a visit. Berchers Bay, on the Caribbean side, is a fabulous beach with majestic cliffs that are perfect for walking on. On land, spectacular displays of tropical frangipani and allamandas line the walkways of the resort.

Day 5: Can Garden Bay, Tortola
This stunning bay has a great choice of activities and water sports, bars and places to eat ashore.
Cane Garden Bay on the north shore of Tortola is one of the island's prettiest harbors and has become popular with sailors and land-based tourists for its relaxed vibe and friendly welcome.
The anchorage is protected by two reefs. Surrounded by pristine white sand beaches and surmounted by towering mountains on three sides, the crescent-shaped bay makes for a scenic stop-over on a Cane Garden Bay Tortola yacht charter. Good swimming and watersports such as windsurfing and kayaking are also available on this stop. The beaches are lovely for walking and equestrian-minded visitors may like to go horseback riding.
Cane Garden Bay is also renowned for its terrific nightlife. Charterers will appreciate the great food, plentiful bars and abundance of live music. Be sure to try the local specialities of conch and pumpkin fritters. Jump ups are regular occurrences, so get ready for some entertainment!

Day 6: The Bight, Norman Island
The Bight is known for fun dinners and wild party nights on board the William Thorton (Willy T) ship. Discover a hidden treasure in the place that inspired Robert Louis Stevenson for his famous book, Treasure Island . Together with Pelican Island, Peter Island, Salt Island, Dead Chest Island and Ginger Island, Norman Island is one of the "Little Sisters"; a group of islands that are smaller, lower and slightly dryer than other islands to the north and west. The Bight, situated on the west side of Norman Island, is a safe and sheltered anchorage.
Treasure Point at the mouth of the Bight is the location of the famous purple and orange-walled Caves, which offer a superb snorkeling experience. You can snorkel deep into the three water-level caves at the base of the cliffs and watch daylight turn to a magical darkness as you venture further in. Swim with an underwater torch and see masses of exotic fish and sea creatures teeming in the shallow waters. The Caves are are a real highlight when visiting The Bight at Norman Island on your yacht charter.
Despite being largely uninhabited, The Bight is home to the legendary William Thornton (Willie T's) floating restaurant, housed in a replica 1915 topsail schooner, where you can expect to have a very entertaining night. Great food, music, dancing and party games should ensure a Caribbean evening to remember.
Mooring: Moorings are plentiful; choose to anchor in the northeast and southeast areas of The Bight outside the mooring fields. Dinghy dockage is available at the William Thornton (Wille T's) bar and restaurant and also at the Pirates' Bight restaurant.
To Do: Snorkeling, Diving, Partying
Facilities: A touring power boat will deliver essentials including fresh bread, making its round in the early evening.
Day 7: Return to Flotilla Base
Spend your final day in this tropical sailing area exploring wherever the wind takes you!
