To remain faithful to this tradition the naval architects Christophe Barreau and the Catana design office have designed this boat with all round performance and dynamic comfort in all conditions. Performance in all conditions is guaranteed by fine and angular hulls, and deep daggerboards. The latter offer extraordinary performance on the wind but also safety in rough weather. When they are lifted the Catana 41 is capable of 'drifting' during side waves and has a very small draft. The two helm stations offer clear visibility - the captain is not bothered by the dimensions of the roof which has been made intentionally short to centre weight.
