Day 1:True Blue Bay Marina to Port Louis Marina
Your yacht charter starts at noon. Following a comprehensive yacht and chart briefing with Horizon Yacht Charters depart from True Blue Bay. Sail to St. George's for the first stop, anchor off Ross Point or enjoy the luxury of a berth at Port Louis Marina and dinner at the restaurant. If you are sailing with a crew you will depart earlier and sail directly to Carriacou on this day.
Day 2: Port Louis Marina to Tyrrel Bay Carriacou
An exhilarating days sail to Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou. Anchor amongst the local fishing boats and enjoy a stroll and drink ashore at one of the many rum shops, or try the floating bar in the middle of the bay! Dine on board or ashore at one of the small restaurants on the water's edge.
Day 3: Carriacou to Petit St. Vincent
Breakfast and swim at Sandy Island while you watch the pelicans performing aerobatics around your boat. After snorkeling the reef, clear out in Hillsborough before sailing over to Petit St Vincent where you will anchor right off the PSV Resort - one of the Caribbean's most sought after hotel destinations. Head over to Mopion, a tiny circle of sand with a single thatch umbrella surrounded by coral reef. Dine tonight at the exclusive PSV Restaurant or more locally at Palm Beach Restaurant in Petite Martinique.
Day 4: Petit St. Vincent to Chatham Bay
Head to Clifton Harbour, Union to clear in and re-stock with fresh bread and local fruit from the market vendors. From Clifton it's a short trip around to Chatham Bay on the west side of Union. A stunning sandy bay surrounded by high hills. Snorkel the north side of the bay and arrange a lobster BBQ on the beach after watching the sun set.
Day 5: Chatham Bay to Mayreau
Sail north to Mayreau dropping anchor in Salt Whistle Bay, a perfect coconut fringed white sand bay. Dine Flintstone style at the Salt Whistle Bay Resort or walk over the hill to the village and head for Dennis's Hideaway.
Day 6: Mayreau to Tobago Cays
Take an early morning stroll to the top of Mayreau and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding islands. Afterwards it's an hour's sail to the Tobago Cays. Simply spectacular! Just off the little island of Baradel is an area cordoned off for turtles to feed, and it's an incredible experience to get close and swim with these remarkable animals. There are no restaurants or bars in the Cays - light up the BBQ and dine under the stars.
Day 7: Tobago Cays
A day to explore the Cays - This is an idyllic yachting anchorage that is a dream for snorkelers and divers and a paradise for beachcombers. Exploring the islands themselves has its rewards with almost tame iguanas in the trees and tortoises lumbering around the ground. Alternatively you could sail for Mustique or Canouan on this day.
Day 8: Tobago Cays to Mustique
It's an exciting 3.5 hour sail to Mustique past the resort island of Canouan. Mustique is a wildly beautiful private island that offers a rare combination of elegance and informality to those who seek privacy and luxury. Pick up a mooring before heading over to the World famous Basil's Bar; home of the Mustique Rhythm and Blues Festival or catch a taxi up to the Firefly Restaurant for sundowners and dinner.
Day 9: Mustique to Bequia
After Breakfast, set sail for Bequia. Bequia has a unique, magical charm which is hard to find anywhere else in the Caribbean. The island combines an enduring seafaring heritage with a wonderful laid back atmosphere. Stock up on provisions and then enjoy cocktails and dinner at one of several waterfront restaurants.
Day 10: Bequia to Pitons
Clear out of Bequia first thing and set sail for St Lucia, passing the leeward side of St Vincent and the set of Pirates of the Caribbean film. Clear in at Soufriere police station then it's a romping sail across to the Pitons - absolutely unmistakable and perhaps the most famous landmark of the Caribbean. Pick up a mooring in the national park and spend the evening reveling in the stunning scenery.
Day 11: Pitons to Marigot Bay
A leisurely sail up the coast of St Lucia brings you to either Marigot or Rodney Bay for the end of your charter. Marigot is one of the most beautiful and well protected anchorages of the Caribbean with a stunning development; Rodney Bay has all the trappings of a first class marina. Spend the afternoon exploring the stunning island.
