Day 1: Head out of Key Largo Harbor Marina and sail up to Pennekamp State Park. Enjoy snorkeling and diving her fabulous reefs. This state park offers guided educational environmental tours, snorkeling tours, guided dives, picnic areas, and designated swimming areas. You can enjoy the sunset and a picnic your first night.
Day 2: Wake up at Pennekamp: Spend the morning continuing the exploration of Pennekamp. In the afternoon, Sail back towards key largo. Anchor off Rodriquez key and grill out for sunset.
Day 3: Key Largo and Islamorada boast the best diving in the keys with a range of underwater sights to see including deep and shallow wrecks and natural reef. The keys hold world class reef, this is a highlight you don't want to miss! Anchor off Indian Key ( a sandy beach island). There is also a great sandbar in front of holiday isle that makes a nice "day beach".
Day 4: Visit Hawk's Cay resort and marina for a nice beach, tiki bar, swimming with dolphins, and great lunch. Stay overnight here or Cruise to Marathon's boot key harbor for to overnight in the Boot Key Harbor mooring field. Don't forget to enjoy the BBQ ribs at Porky's...they're to die for.
Day 5: Continue heading South to Bahia Honda State Park. Enjoy beaches, picnic areas, a great anchorage, and diving/snorkeling the nearby Looe Key Underwater Preserve. This anchorage is set between two bridges which creat excellent shelter and in front of a lovely beach with charcoal grills on the beach and nice picnic table. Very picturesque place to watch the sunset and take it easy on the beach.
Day 6: Sail to Key West enjoy the historic sights and fun of Old Towne Key West.
Day 7: Wake in Key West and prepare the boat for handover to the charter company. Checkout in the marinas is are 11am-12non. On the one-way itinerary, your captain will arrive for the delivery and inspection sometime after noon. So please remember to pre-pay for this evenings dockage with the dockmaster.You do not have to wait on the captain. Just make sure to leave the boat well secured and properly tied up.
