The currency is the Roupie Seychelloise (SCR). All main credit cards are accepted and ATMs are easily found but distribute SCRs. Banks are open Monday to Friday (8am to 2pm) and Saturday (8am to 11am).

To enter the Seychelles, there are no Visa requirements. You need a valid passport, a return ticket, proof of accommodation and contact information and ample funds for the duration of your stay to obtain a visitor's permit.
Initially, the visitor's permit is valid for up to one month, and can be extended for up to three months. It is capable of further extensions to a full duration of twelve months for consecutive periods not exceeding three months at a time. Holders of a 'Kinderausweis' given to German minors (up to and including the age of 15 years) can enter the Seychelles if this travel document contains a photo of the minor.

There are internet cafes in Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. While sailing Seychelles, you can buy a local SIM for surfing or use some of the local WiFi hotspots, which can have data restrictions.
Spearfishing and wearing camouflage is not permited in Seychelles. Nudism/naturalism is unacceptable and topless bathing is permitted on some, but not all beaches.
Between October and March, sailing conditions in the Seychelles include north-westerly trade winds averaging between 8 and 12 knots. Between May and September, south-easterly winds blow between 10 and 20 knots, bringing colder, windy conditions which are ideal for sailing.
In the Seychelles, temperatures are mild year-round between 79oF and 82oF. During the transition to the season in April/May and October/November, the best time to visit is when the water visibility is optimum at +30 meters, ideal for swimming, snorkeling and diving.Between November and March, it is hot and humid with northwesterly trade winds and between December and February, the wettest months are. May to September are drier, and the south-eastern trade winds are less hot.
