The currency of New Caledonia is the CFP Franc (French Pacific Franc). It has a fixed equivalent parity to Euro. 1 Euro is equal to 119.33174 cfp
You will be able to withdraw "cfp" notes at the airport and all banks in town from ATM machines. At the airport and at several banks in the area, you will be able to exchange money. The majority of banks are open Monday through Friday and close at approximately 3:00 pm. Most major shops and hotels allow payment by credit card, except small restaurants in Loyalty Islands, please make sure you have some local currency. Duty-free shops in Nouméa and the airport.

Depending on areas with cellular antenna, mobile phones and the Internet will run, don't ignore the roaming charges! At our marina, there is free Wi-Fi, which you can use on your Exuma yacht charter. Also, if you visit cafes and restaurants, you'll find free Wi-Fi in downtown Nassau and Freeport. In Exuma Park, access is sporadic.
In New Caledonia, sailing conditions include southeast trade winds most of the year that blow an average of 15/18 knots in winter and 18/22 knots in summer. Some places require a good understanding of sailing, while those without a skipper can be avoided.
There is a tropical climate in New Caledonia and the weather is spring-like all year round. Depending on the season, average temperatures are between 20° and 32°C. Around the beginning of June and the end of September, winter is here.
